DESCRIPTION

Engraving from "The Leisure Hour", No. 188, August 2nd, 1855, a very moral British publication described as "A Family Journal of Instruction and Recreation. Price One Penny". A terrifying display of pythons in a natural history museum. One must assume that the keeper with the stick will prod them from time to time to provoke some activity, or perhaps he is there in case they escape!
